Dry-Cooked Bamboo Shoot Recipe

Ingredients:

1/2 tsp
2 tbsp
3 cup
1/2 cup

bamboo shoots
dried shrimps
Szechuan cabbage
scallions
salt
MSG
sugar
sherry
soy sauce
sesame oil
oil
water

Directions:

  1. Boil bamboo shoot, then cool in water, split it, beat with the blade of knife, cut into strips about the size of a thumb.

  2. Chop dried shrimps and Szechuan cabbage.

  3. Shred scallions.

 

Methods:

  1. Deep-fry bamboo shoot in 3 cup hot, 425 oF oil till dry, then remove.

  2. Stir-fry shrimps, Szechuan cabbage, bamboo shoot in 3 tbsp oil, add 1/2 cup water, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 MSG, 2 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp sherry, and 1/2 tsp soy sauce, stir-fry again over medium heat, sprinkle on 2 tbsp scallion shreds and 2 tbsp sesame oil, remove and serve.
