Dry-Cooked String Beans Recipe
Deep-Fried Dishes Recipes

 

 

 

 


Ingredients:

2 lbs
1 tbsp
1 tbsp

1 tbsp
4 cup
1/2 cup

string beans
Szechwan Cabbage (spiced mustard stem)
dried shrimp
scallions
small piece ginger
ground lean pork
sherry (wine)
MSG
salt
soy sauce
sugar
sesame oil
oil
water

Directions:

  1. Cut string beans into sections about 4 2/3 inches long.

  2. Clean and chop Szechwan cabbage and dried shrimp.

  3. Shred about 1 tbsp scallions.

  4. Chop 1/2 tbsp ginger.

Methods:

  1. Deep-fry string beans in hot oil for 7 minutes, remove.

  2. Stir-fry ground pork in 3 tbsp oil, add 1/2 tbsp chopped ginger, 1 tbsp sherry, 1/2 cup water, chopped Szechwan cabbage, with 1 tsp MSG, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tsp sugar, then stir-fry over medium heat till dry, sprinkle 1 tbsp scallion shreds and 1 tbsp sesame oil, stir evenly, remove and serve.

 

Notes:

  1. Szechwan cabbage (spiced mustard stem) is salted, thus don't need too much salt.

  2. Sour dried cabbage may  be in place of Szechwan cabbage
