Roast Fish with Scallions Recipe

Ingredients:

snapper (about 2 lbs)
black pepper
salt
MSG
small cabbage
scallions
small piece ginger
red pepper
radish
sesame oil
parsley for garnishing the plate

Directions:

  1. Clean fish and remove bone from belly, sprinkle with 1/4 tsp black pepper, 1/4 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp MSG.

  2. Place 6 leaves of cabbage on roasting plate, place fish on the leaves.

  3. Shred scallions, ginger and red pepper. mix evenly.

  4. Peel radish, cut into large cubes, then carve in fish net shape.

  5. shred cabbage.

Methods:

  1. Heat oven 400 oF, put roasting plate with fish into oven, then roast 20 minutes till the meat is tender, then remove.

  2. Place cabbage shreds on the plate, then fish, the shreds of scallion, ginger and red pepper around fish.

  3. Boil 3 tbsp sesame oil and pour over fish and the shreds.

  4. Garnish with parsley and cover with radish carved in the shape of a fish net.

 

Notes:

  1. Soak the shreds of scallion, ginger, red pepper and cabbage to keep crisp and bright.

  2. The time required for roasting the fish depends on the size of the fish.
