Baked Beancurd with Shrimp Recipe
Sautéed (Sauteed) Dishes Recipes

 

 

 

 


Ingredients:

caked beancurd (4" x 4")
egg
scallion
small piece ginger
shrimps
flour
MSG
salt
wine
sesame oil
soup stock
oil

Directions:

  1. Cut the side of beancurd, then slice into thin slices (about 2 3/8 inches long, 1 1/4 inches wide, and 3/4 inch thick) and dredge the slices in flour.

  2. Beat egg until fluffy.

  3. Chop ginger and scallion.

  4. Combined seasonings: Mix 1 tsp MSG, 2/3 tsp salt, 1 tsp wine, 1/2 tbsp sesame oil, 1/2 cup soup stock and shrimps in a bowl and stir well.

 

Methods:

  1. Steep the floured bean curd slices in egg.

  2. Heat the pan, pour 3 tbsp oil in the pan and heat over high heat, put the slices one after another into the pan, sauté till they become golden brown. Remove excess oil, turn to other side, sauté again till golden brown.

  3. Put the combined seasonings on the slices cook over medium heat there is a spicy aroma. Remove and serve.

Notes: It is better to use lard for sautéing to enhance the flavor.
