Fresh Scallop with Ketchup Recipe

Ingredients:

9 oz
1 tsp
1 tbsp
1 piece

4 tbsp
2 tbsp
1/2 tbsp
1 tsp
6 cup

Garnishing:
 

fresh scallop
baking soda
cornstarch
young ginger
scallions
garlic
oil
sherry
salt
MSG
water

small cucumber, 2 red peppers, scallion and ginger

 

Directions:

  1. Slice scallops, soak in baking soda 30 minutes, then clean it with water thoroughly, soak in cool water for 20 minutes, rinse and drain, mix with 1 tbsp cornstarch.

  2. Shred ginger, red pepper, small cucumber, scallion stem.

Methods:

  1. Stir-fry 2 scallions, 2 slices ginger, 2 cloves garlic in 2 tbsp oil, add 2 tbsp sherry, 6 cup water, season with 1/2 tbsp salt, 1 tsp MSG.

  2. Add fresh scallop to the pan, sauté 2 minutes, remove and place in serving plate.

  3. Boil 2 tbsp oil and pour over scallop.

  4. Garnish with the shreds of red pepper, small cucumber, scallion and ginger.

Notes: This dish is served with oyster sauce and shrimp ketchup.
