Butter Sponge Cake Chinese Style Recipe

Ingredient:
 

6 cup
3 cup
1 can
14 eggs
2/3 lb
1
1 tbsp
3 tsp
2 tbsp
1 sheet
 

cake flour
rough white sugar
evaporated milk
eggs
lard
stick butter
soda water
vanilla extract
double acting baking powder
brown paper
 

Directions:

  1. Place flour in a large bowl add sugar and milk, beat in one egg after another stir until smooth.

  2. Add lard, butter, baking soda and vanilla, and baking powder beat and stir batter for 5 minutes and leave it 4 hours.

  3. Cut paper into a circle several inches larger than cake pan, coat it with oil place it flat.

Methods:

  1. Place pan in steamer, cover it tightly.

  2. Steam over high heat for 30 minutes, remove, let it cool, cut in bite-sized pieces.

Notes: The water in steamer should be nearly full and must be boiling, when placing in cake pan.
