Ingredient:

cake flour
rough white sugar
evaporated milk
eggs
lard
stick butter
soda water
vanilla extract
double acting baking powder
brown paper

Directions:
-
Place flour in a large bowl add
sugar and milk, beat in one egg after another
stir until smooth.

Add lard, butter, baking soda
and vanilla, and baking powder beat and stir
batter for 5 minutes and leave it 4 hours.

Cut paper into a circle several
inches larger than cake pan, coat it with oil
place it flat.

Methods:

Place pan in steamer, cover it
tightly.

Steam over high heat for 30
minutes, remove, let it cool, cut in bite-sized
pieces.
Notes: The water in steamer
should be nearly full and must be boiling, when
placing in cake pan.
