Shrimp with Glutinous Rice Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

9 oz
1/2 tsp
1/3
3 1/2 tbsp
6 cup
4 cup
1 tbsp
5 oz

Seasoning:
1 tsp
1 tsp
1 tbsp
3 tbsp

 

shrimps
salt
egg white
cornstarch
oil
soup stock
green peas
glutinous rice cake


salt
MSG
sherry (wine)
tomato ketchup
 

 

 

Directions:

  1. Clean and dry shrimp, coat with 1/2 tsp salt, 1/3 egg white and 1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch.

  2. Combined seasonings in the bowl, stir evenly.

Methods:

  1. Heat 6 cup oil to 450oF, drop in shrimp for a few seconds, remove and place in a bowl.

  2. Boil 4 cup soup stock with combined seasonings and green peas. Mix 2 tbsp cornstarch with 4 tbsp water then add to soup, stir thoroughly then pour over shrimp.

  3. Deep-fry glutinous rice cake in very hot oil (450oF) till golden brown, place in serving dish.

  4. Pour shrimp over glutinous rice cake and serve.
