Eggs with Liver Soup Recipe

Ingredients:

1 1/3 lb

winter melon
dried black mushrooms
Chinese ham
scallop
chicken
scallions
ginger
salt
MSG

 

Directions:

  1. Peel winter melon and cut into pieces (about 1 3/8 inches long and wide and 3/4 inch thick).

  2. Soak dried black mushrooms in warm water, remove stem, split large ones.

  3. Steam ham and scallop separately. Slice ham. Tear scallop into shreds.

  4. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces, blanch in boiling water to remove blood.

Methods:

  1. Place all the ingredients in stewing pan, add sectioned scallion, ginger, 6 cup water, 1 tsp salt, 1 1/2 tsp MSG, then simmer about 1 hour and serve.

Notes:

  1. This dish is served best in summertime.

  2. Although winter melon is inexpensive, it has the function in Chinese medicine of reducing fever.
