Yellow Spring Rolls Recipe (Poh Piah)

 

Hokkien Specialty for Cheng Beng

The filling, garnish, condiments and serving are the same as for white spring rolls. Only the skin is different.


Ingredients

Main:
225 g/8 oz
2 tsp

300ml/10 fl oz
1/2 tsp


plain flour
baking powder
eggs
water or milk
salt
a little cooking oil to grease the pan

 

 

 

 

Method

  1. Mix flour and baking powder.

  2. Add eggs, one at a time.

  3. Add water or milk, a little at a time to consistency of double cream.

  4. Add salt

  5. Use crepe pan and make a stack of yellow crepes, another form of spring roll skin.
