Ingredients: |

Skin:
300 g
60 g
1 tsp
150 ml
1/2 tsp
2 tbsp
For brushing skin:
6 tbsp |
plain flour
castor sugar
instant yeast
warm water
salt
shortening/lard
oil

Method:

Skin: Mix flour, salt and sugar together. Slowly
pour in water and mix into a pliable dough. Add
shortening and knead well till smooth. Cover and
leave aside to prove till double in bulk.

Knead dough till
smooth again. Rest for 15 minutes.

Divide dough into 60 gm per
portion. Shape into balls.

Roll dough into a rectangular
shape 18cm x 5 cm. Brush with a little oil, cut
into 4 equal strips without cutting through the
top part. Gather the 4 ends together, twist and
tuck the two ends underneath to form into flower
roll.

Place on a sheet of greased proof
paper, prove for 25 minutes before steaming.
Steam for 15 minutes over high
heat till cooked.
