Barbecue Fish (Ikan Panggang) Recipe

Ingredients:

1 / about 850 g
1 tsp
4 tbsp
1 tbsp
1 tsp

whole fish, preferably sea bass, bonito or mackerel
salt
vegetable oil
sweet soy sauce
sambal ulek
 

Method:

  1. Split fish down the backbone. Rub with salt.

  2. Heat oil in a small saucepan and add 2 tbsp water, soy sauce and sambal ulek. Stir frequently.

  3. Roast fish over a charcoal fire and baste with this liquid mixture until fish is well done. Serve.
