large onion, sliced
garlic, chopped
pinch of chopped ginger
pinch of nutmeg
ground coriander
ground black pepper
silver of shrimp paste
soy sauce
tamarind juice |

Method:

Cut chicken into
serving portions and rub with salt. Fry pieces
in vegetable oil until light brown.

Add onion and garlic, frying
until onion turns light brown. Now add ginger,
nutmeg, coriander, black pepper, shrimp paste
and soy sauce. Fry ingredients for about 1
minute.

Add 1 cup water and tamarind
juice. Cover tightly. Simmer over low heat until
chicken is tender. Serve.
