Fried Anchovy (Ikan Teri Goreng) Recipe

Ingredients:

1 lb / 450 g
1 1/2tsp
2 tbsp
1
1 tsp
1/2 cup
1 tbsp
 

anchovy or smelt (fresh or frozen)
salt
vegetable oil
medium onion, sliced finely
sambal ulek
coconut milk from 1/2 coconut
tamarind juice

Method:

  1. Heat oil in pan and sauté onion lightly. Add sambal ulek and stir.

  2. Next, add fish and salt, stirring repeatedly so as to cover fish thoroughly with the spices.

  3. Coconut milk and tamarind juice are then added. cover the pan and simmer until liquid is absorbed by the fish. Serve warm.
