Padang Beef (Rendang Padang) Recipe

Ingredients:

1 tbsp
2 cloves
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
3
1 lb / 450 g
2 or more
1 tsp or more
1 1/2 cups
1

 

vegetable oil
garlic, chopped finely
turmeric
ginger
lemon grass leaves
top round or lean beef, sliced thinly
red chilies, crushed
salt
coconut milk from 1 coconut
salam leaf

Method:

  1. Heat oil in pan and add garlic, turmeric, ginger and lemon grass. Sauté lightly.

  2. Then add meat and crushed chilies. Sauté 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Add salt and chilies and mix well.

  3. Pour coconut milk over meat and add salam leaf. Cover and cook over low heat until almost dry. serve.
