boneless pork
small onion, chopped finely
garlic, chopped finely
cumin
coriander
laos
salt
vegetable oil
red chili, diced
salam leaf
coconut milk from 1/2 coconut
tamarind juice |

Method:

Cut pork into
thin strips. Mix onion and garlic with pork. Now
rub pork with cumin, coriander, laos and salt.

Heat vegetable oil in a pan and
add strips of pork. Sauté several minutes.

Add chili, salam leaf and coconut
milk, simmer uncovered until meat is very
tender. Now add tamarind juice. Serve.
Note:
Lelawar is a Balinese style of cooking and that is
why pork is used. Beef may be substituted.
