Shrimp Curry ( Udang Kari ) Recipe

Ingredients:

1 lb / 450 g
1 tbsp
1
2 cloves
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
1 tsp
1 tsp

1 tsp
1 cup
 

shelled fresh or frozen shrimps
vegetable oil
medium onion, chopped finely
garlic, chopped finely
turmeric
cumin
lemon grass
sambal ulek
silver of shrimp paste
salt
coconut milk from 1/2 coconut

Method:

  1. Heat oil and lightly saute onion and garlic. add turmeric, cumin and lemon grass. Stir and add sambal ulek, shrimp paste and salt. Stir again.

  2. Add coconut milk and bring to a boil. Lower heat and add shrimps. Simmer uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes.
