Spiced Dry Shrimps (Sambal Goreng Udang Kering) Recipe

Ingredients:

1 lb / 450 g
2 tbsp
2 cloves
1 tsp
2 tsp

1 tsp
1 tsp
1 tbsp
 

shrimps
vegetable oil
garlic, chopped finely
laos
sambal ulek
silver of shrimp paste
salt
lemon grass
coconut, desiccated or freshly grated
 

Method:

  1. Leaving shrimps in their shells, sprinkle with salt and boil in water. Cool and peel the shrimps. set aside.

  2. Heat oil and saute garlic, laos and lemon grass. Add shrimps, shrimp paste and coconut. Stir continuously and fry until coconut becomes lightly brown.

  3. Add sambal ulek and fry for 5 minutes. Serve.
