Ingredients:

Sweet & Sour Sauce:
2 tsp

1/4 cup
1/2 cup

shrimps, medium size
salt
egg
flour
oil for deep-frying
soy sauce
cornstarch mixed with 4 tbsp water
tomato ketchup
vinegar
water
sugar
Method:
Shell, devein
shrimps and rub with salt.
Mix egg with flour and dredge
shrimps in the batter.
Heat oil and deep-fry till brown.
Remove from oil and drain. Place on an oval
platter and keep warm.
Bring all ingredients making up
Sweet & Sour Sauce to a boil, stirring
constantly, and pour over shrimps just before
serving.
Garnish shrimps with shredded
carrots or bits of pineapple. Tomatoes and
capsicums may also be used for garnishing. They
may be fried lightly before serving.
