Breakfast Recipes

 

The universal breakfast in all Asian countries is a creamy, moist rice dish, which is known as congee or rice pudding. Highly nutritious, it is often given to babies and people with digestive problems as well as the elderly. Coconut milk is used instead of water in many South-east Asian countries, but because it usually takes more than an hour to make a smooth, creamy congee, many cooks cheat by simply adding hot water to cold cooking rice.
