Black Sauce Egg recipe (Lor Nng)
Eggs Recipes

Ingredients

3
2
100 g
6 tbsp
1 liter
500 g

star aniseed
sticks of cinnamon
peeled garlic
black soy sauce
water
pork fillet

Method:

  1. Choose pork fillet because it tends to contain less fat. Slice pork fillet against the grain of the meat to make sure it's more tender when cooked. Cut into one-inch-wide slices.

  2. Place sliced pork, aniseed, cinnamon, garlic, black sauce and water in a large pot.

  3. Bring to boil over medium fire, covered, then simmer for one hour until the eggs are brown. Note that this dish tastes best made the evening before and left overnight because the juices get soaked into egg and meat.
