Braised Vegetables with Dried Soybean Cakes Recipe
Soya Beans & Bean curd Recipes

 


Ingredients

pieces of dried soybean cakes (tau pok)
large potatoes
carrot
onion
oil
cloves garlic, chopped
black soy sauce
water
bay leaf
salt and pepper

 

Method:

  1. Cut the dried soybean cakes diagonally into triangle. Peel the potatoes, carrot and onion and cut them into bite-size pieces.

  2. Heat the oil in a pot. Fry the garlic till fragrant. Add the onions, carrots and potatoes. When onion are soft, add the water and black soy sauce. Place dried soybean cakes and bay leaf in the stew and simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes. Season according to taste.

Tip : Soy sauce used may not be salty enough, so add a little salt if necessary.
