Cabbage Pot with Dried Black Mushrooms and Shrimp Balls Recipe

Ingredients

Caltrop starch:
1 tbsp
2 tbsp 

shelled shrimps
dried black mushrooms (soaked until soft)
small carrot (sliced)
cabbage
ginger
egg white
caltrop starch

water

 

Method:

  1. De-vein shrimps. Wash and wipe dry.

  2. Pat shrimps with knife to make shrimp paste. Add egg white and caltrop starch and mix well. Shape into balls. Arrange on greased plate.

  3. Bring 3 cups of water to the boil. Add mushrooms, carrot and ginger. Simmer for 25 minutes. Add cabbage and simmer for 15 more minutes.

  4. Add shrimps balls and simmer for 10 minutes. Add caltrop starch solution and mix well. Serve.
