Stuffed Bamboo Piths with Winter Melon and Ham Recipe
 Microwave Cooking

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

60 g
180 g
90 g

Seasonings:

Sauce:
1 cup
1 tsp
1/2 tsp


 

bamboo piths
winter melon
Jinhua ham

a pinch of salt and pepper


clear chicken broth
light soy sauce
sugar
a dash of sesame oil

Method:

  1. Soak the bamboo piths in clear water for about an hour, remove and rinse, cut into large pieces and drain dry. Place the bamboo piths into boiling water, blanch with microwave MED (50%) for 3-5 minutes, then soak in clear water for later use.

  2. Peel and scrape the winter melon, then shred.

  3. Dice the Jinhua ham, then mash. Add seasonings and ham into winter melon, stir well.

  4. Squeeze dry the bamboo piths, fill in shredded melon, arrange on plate. Microwave on MED (50%) for 4-5 minutes. Remove.

  5. Pour a little oil and the sauce into a deep bowl, microwave on MED HIGH (70%) for 30 seconds-1 minute till boiled. Pour the sauce on bamboo piths to serve.

Serve 2 persons
