Fried Sambal Cincaluk Recipe

Ingredients:

3 tbsp
2 tsp
2 cloves

1 stalk

cincaluk
sugar
garlic, finely sliced
small onions, finely sliced
green chilies, diagonally sliced
lengkuas/galangal, crushed
serai/lemon grass, crushed
limes/limau kesturi, halved
oil

Directions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Lightly brown garlic.

  2. Add onions and chilies. fry for a few minutes.

  3. Add galangal and lemon grass. Stir well to mix.

  4. Add cincaluk and season with sugar. Fry another few seconds before dishing out.

  5. Garnish with lime halves. Squeeze lime juice over sambal before serving. Serve with boiled white rice.
