Grilled Kunyit Fish Nyonya Recipe

Ingredients:

625 g/11/4 lb
3 (5 cm/2 in.) piece
1/2 tsp
1/2 lime
8-9 pieces 20 cm x 20 cm (8 in. x 5 in.)

ikan selar kuning/ horse mackerel
fresh kunyit/ turmeric, pounded finely
salt
juice
banana leaves, blanched in boiling water.

Directions:

  1. Scale and clean fish. Make 3 cuts on both sides of fish.

  2. Add lime juice to turmeric mixture. Stir to mix.

  3. Rub fish with turmeric mixture. Wrap in banana leaves.

  4. Secure both ends with toothpicks.

  5. Grill wrapped fish on both sides till cooked.

  6. Arrange on serving plate and serve.
