Ingredients:

Pounded:

2.5 cm/1 inch pieces
1

eggs, hard-boiled & shelled
sugar
salt
assam/tamarind, squeezed for juice; strained
water for assam
oil

dried chilies, boiled
onions
blacan
kunyit/ turmeric
serai/lemon grass, finely sliced

Directions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan .Fry pounded ingredients for about 2 minutes. Till fragrant.

  2. Pour in assam juice slowly. Stir well to mix. Bring to the boil. Add hard-boiled eggs. Add sugar and salt. Cook for 2 minutes.

  3. Remove. Serve with boiled white rice.
