Taucheo Pork Nyonya Recipe

Ingredients:

625 g/11/2 lb
1 dsp
3 cloves
2 tbsp
1 tbsp
1 tbsp
1/2 tsp
3 dsp

1
1/2 cups
3 tbsp
1 stalk

belly pork, sliced
5-spice powder
garlic, chopped
taucheo, pounded
light soy sauce
dark soy sauce
monosodium glutamate
sugar
salt to taste
water
oil
coriander, chopped

Directions:

  1. Rub 5-spice powder over meat. Leave to season for 10 minutes.

  2. Heat oil in a pan. Fry garlic till lightly brown. Add taucheo and fry till fragrant.

  3. Add seasoned pork. Fry over high heat for 2 minutes.

  4. Put in remaining ingredients except coriander. Mix well. Simmer till gravy is thick.

  5. Dish up onto serving plate. Garnish with coriander.
