Imitation Oyster Fried with Vegetables

Ingredients

big, black fried fungus
raw wheat dough or gluten
water
cabbage
carrot
snow peas
groundnut oil
salt
sugar
dash of pepper
 

 

 

 

 

Method:

  1. Soak fungus in boiling water for 15 minutes. Pick out impurities and slice into thin strips.

  2. Take a little raw dough, the size of a marble, and press into a flat circle. Wrap it around 2 or 3 strip of fungus with ends showing. Twist dough to seal the ends together. Repeat until all dough is used up.

  3. Boil water. When boiling, drop in dough one at a time. Boil for 10 minutes. Drain. Put aside.

  4. Cut cabbage to a bite-size pieces.

  5. Slice carrot or cut into designs.

  6. Remove stalks and strings of snow peas.

  7. Heat oil and fry all vegetable. Add salt and sugar. When vegetables are cooked, add dough or "oysters" and stir fry for a further 2 to 3 minutes. Serve.
