Malay-Indonesian Coconut Marinade for Broiled Meat Recipe

Ingredients

FOR 11/4 KILOGRAMS MEAT CHOPS
250 ml
12
2 cloves
1 tsp
1/4 tsp
1 tsp
1/4 tsp
1 tsp


coconut milk
small onions, minced
cloves garlic, minced
chili paste
turmeric powder
ginger powder
shrimp paste
salt

Method:

  1. Combine onion, garlic, ginger, chili, turmeric, shrimp paste and salt.

  2. Pound them together to a paste and combine with the coconut milk.

  3. Marinade the meat in this mixture for 3-4 hours, turning them regularly. Drain, reserving the marinade and cook over very low heat.

  4. Heat the marinade and serve with the cooked meat.
