Basic Sweet Apple Chutney Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/4 kg
1/2 kg
400 ml
125 g
20 g
15 g

sour apples
sugar
vinegar
raisins
ginger
salt

 

Method:

  1. Peel, core and slice apples and combine with raisins and ginger.

  2. Combine salt and a little water and bring to a boil until apples become soft.

  3. Add vinegar and sugar and continue to cook until a thick consistency is obtained. Bottle into jars while still hot.
