Singaporean Fruit and Vegetable Salad Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

dried chilies, ground
small onions, ground
peanuts, roasted, pounded fine
tamarind water
mashed sweet potato
shrimp paste, roasted
oil
Sugar and salt to taste

Method:

  1. Pound the ground ingredients and shrimp paste together.

  2. Heat oil, fry the pounded ingredients until cooked.

  3. Add peanuts, a little tamarind water and gradually add the mashed sweet potato, the remaining tamarind water, sugar and salt.

  4. Boil on a slow fire until it is well cooked.
