Beef or Mutton Satay Recipe

Ingredients:

1/2 kg/ 1 lb

1 cloves
2 slices

1 tsp
1 tsp
1 tsp
2 tbsp
2 tbsp
3 tbsp

mutton or veal, rump or fillet ends
candlenuts (buah keras) or hazel nuts, pounded
garlic, pounded
ginger, pounded
shallots (bawang merah), pounded
coriander (ketumbar) powder
tumeric (kunyit) powder
cumin (jintan puteh) powder
salt
sugar
oil
peanuts, roasted & ground
satay sticks or skewers

 

Method:

  1. Cut mutton or veal into small pieces, knead with the above ingredients, adding one at a time.

  2. Tread a few pieces of meat on the top half of each satay stick.

  3. Grill the meat and brushing with additional oil.

  4. Serve with satay sauce.
