Tamarind Fried Prawns Recipe

Ingredients

300 g (1/2 kt)

medium size prawns, peeled
onion, sliced
dried chilies, pounded or 2 tbsp pounded chili
tamarind (Assam) add 10 tbsp water, strain & use liquid only

sugar
salt
oil

 

Method:
Heat a frying pan until hot, add 4 tbsp oil. Stir-fry the chilies and onion. Add the prawns and stir-fry for a minute before adding the tamarind water, 2 tsp sugar and 1 tsp salt. Simmer until cooked.
