Glutinous Rice Dumplings with Bean curd Sheet,
Gingkoes and Shrimp Balls Recipe
 Sweets & Desserts Recipes

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

1/2
38 g
300 g
1 tsp
1 tsp
1 cup
1 tsp
1/2 cup
 

bean curd sheet (finely cut with scissors)
gingkoes
shelled shrimps
egg white
caltrop starch
glutinous rice flour
plain flour
warm water

Method:

  1. Wash bean curd sheet.

  2. Devein shrimps. Wash and wipe dry. Pat with the flat of knife to make shrimp paste.

  3. Add egg white and caltrop starch to shrimp paste. Mix well. Set aside.

  4. Remove shells, skin and stalks of gingkoes. Wash.

  5. Bring water to the boil. Add bean curd sheet and gingkoes. Reduce to low heat and cook until bean curd sheet has dissolved.

  6. Mix glutinous rice flour and plain flour. Add warm water and knead to make dough. Divide into small portions.

  7. Stuff each portion with shrimp paste to make dumplings. Put dumplings into liquid from cooking bean curd sheet. Cook until dumplings float. Dish up and serve.
