Sesame Seed Dessert (Chee Mah Wu) Recipe

Ingredients
150 g
125 ml

Combine:
1/2 tbsp
1 1/2 tbsp

160 g
500 ml water
125 ml UHT milk
sesame seeds (toasted)
water


corn flour
water

castor sugar
water
UHT milk

 

Method:

  1. Combine sesame seeds with a litter water in an electric processor. Blend into a fine paste. Mix in the corn flour mixture.

  2. Strain and place the sesame seed mixture into a non-stick saucepan. Add the remaining water and sugar. Stir well to mix.

  3. Cook over medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil. Simmer gently for 10 to 15 minutes. Stir in milk to blend and continue to simmer gently for 6 to 7 minutes until mixture is smooth and thick.

  4. Serve immediately.
