Traditional Cocoa Recipe

Ingredients

5 tbsp
75 g/3 oz
1/8 tsp
60 ml/2 fl oz
600 ml/1 pint
600 ml/1 pint
1 tsp

unsweetened cocoa powder
sugar
salt
water
milk
single cream
pure vanilla essence
whipped cream

Method:

1. Combine cocoa, sugar, salt and water in a medium saucepan. Bring to the boil over medium heat and simmer, stirring, 2 minutes. Stir in milk, single cream and vanila. Heat, stirring, until cocoa is just at the boiling point. Garnish with whipped cream. Makes 4 servings.
