Saffron Milk Recipe

 


Ingredients

300 ml/10 fl oz
1/4 tsp

1
1 (5 to 7.5 cm)
2 tbsp
1 tbsp


milk
saffron threads
cardamom pod
whole clove
cinnamon stick
chopped unsalted almonds
honey

 

Method:

  1. Place 3 tbsp milk in a small saucepan and heat until warm. Remove from heat, add saffron and let stand 10 minutes. Heat remaining milk in another saucepan until very warm. Add cardamom, clove, cinnamon stick and saffron milk mixture. Stir, remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes. Strain into mug. Add almonds and honey; stir well. Makes 1 serving.
